I love all the stories! I hate
to miss a meeting!"
Rose - Retired Social Worker
Once upon a time . . . Once there was . . .
One day a long time ago . . . There was, there was not . . .
. . . A long time ago, or maybe not so long ago . . . one whitened, January evening
admits Blizzard’s icy blast, snow encrusted roads and frost biting temperatures.
Founders meet at the old Howard Johnson’s restaurant on 28th street, unthawing,
organizing and thus founding Story Spinners of Grand Rapids.
Today, Story Spinners of Grand Rapids stands as one of 17 remaining storytelling
guilds in the State of Michigan.
Through decades of snow incrusted winters and sun sizzling summers, Story
Spinners of Grand Rapids continues to provide a foundation for people of all ages
to experience, develop and refine their skills in the art of storytelling. Story
Spinners of Grand Rapids is, and has been, a corner stone for individuals choosing
to utilize their storytelling skills in the context of their families, in their workplaces,
and in their communities, as well as in the professional storytelling arena.
